Nanbu (南部町 Nanbu-chō ) is a town located in Minamikoma District, Yamanashi, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 10,475 and a density of 52.21 persons per km². The total area is 200.63 km².
Nanbu is in the southernmost township in Yamanashi-ken, and lies along the bottom edge of the Minamikoma region of the prefecture. Formerly two separate townships; Nanbu (in the northern part of the current township), and Tomizawa (in the south-west part of the current township). The two towns consolidated in 2003, with the aid of the federal government. The town is very rural and has little of interest, other than the annual fire festival.
